- Sheffield 2017 National Games Opening CeremonyThe heavens opened in South Yorkshire on the day of the Sheffield 2017 National Games opening ceremony. We have not known a wetter day but it did not dampen our spirits as these photographs will show. The Yorkshire & Humberside team were last into the ground as they were the hosts of the games and they arrived to a roaring reception. Read more >>

About Us
W.A.L.C was set up in 1998 under the guidance of the Federation of Disability Sports Organisation and the National Autistic Society . Later that year it was transfered offically to club status and the Wakefield Autism Leisure Club was born. . Over the years it has grown and we have had to expand our age range to include a junior section, and the club has naturally progressed to include young people with other learning disabilities/difficulties.

Membership
New members are always welcome and any enquiries should be made to the Club Coordinator or the Club Chair. Our members start at the age of 8 years, we currently have no upper age limit. We encourage siblings of our members to also participate in our activities.
